Why Do Book keeping?

When we first start out in business we have fantastic and exciting ideas about how we are going to become a success. We might even jot a few figures down on a piece of paper or spreadsheet, working out if we think our idea will be able to make us money or not.
We think and plan sometimes in our head and sometimes in writing. Then we start out full of enthusiasm and hope. We then tend to get so involved in the mechanics of making our project a success that we give little thought to exactly how we are going to measure whether we are actually on track with our dreams and goals.
